Every road led here.
I was an actor and a director before I was anything else. Years on stage, years reading rooms. A body tells the truth before the mouth does. I learned that in the theater. Directing taught me how to draw a performance out of someone rather than force one in. That is coaching. You do not push the truth into a person. You create the conditions for it to surface.
I am a teacher. I have taught in classrooms and training rooms for years. Curriculum, feedback, watching the lightbulb turn on. The Lightness Coach School is a school because teaching is my native language. I know how to hold a room, how to pace a lesson, how to tell when someone is nodding but not yet getting it. That comes from decades of standing in front of people who are trying to learn something.
I am a licensed massage therapist. A decade with my hands on real nervous systems. I studied Health and Exercise Physiology and Human Physiology at the University of Surrey in England. Then, 200 hours of anatomy and physiology at the Sky Hill Institute school of wholistic healing arts. Hundreds of documented hours in the body sciences. I felt what stress does to a body long before I could name the science behind it. My hands knew. My training confirmed it.
I became a health coach. That is where the hands-on work met the conversation work. That is where I first watched clients hit walls that willpower could not move. A client would come in doing everything right. Eating well, exercising, meditating. And something was still off. The body was braced. The nervous system was not safe. No amount of mindset work could touch it.
There was a night. I write about it in The Art of Lightness. It was an ER night. I will not give you the details here. What I can tell you is that night connected me to my Soul and dedicated me to alignment work. Something broke open. Something came home. I have been devoted to this ever since.
Years later, trusted friends named what I could not see. I was bypassing my own feelings. I was teaching alignment while skipping the body. When a close friend began certifying in nervous system regulation, I dove back into my old notes. Into neuroplasticity, into nervous system studies, and it clicked. The body comes before the mind in manifesting. There is a gap in how coaching is taught. The Lightness Method is the bridge.
Every role was the same work in a different costume. Reading bodies. Holding rooms. Drawing people out. Now I teach coaches to do it.
